I tused to "Snap" over having to cook dinner. Up until April when I lost my job, my husband and I both cooked and even occationally my daughter would cook. But, not that I am blessed to be able to work from home the chore of cooking has fallen solely on me. I have learned to thank God that there is food to cook and that I have a family to cook for. Do I enjoy it, no, but at least I don't tread it, like I used to, well most of the time. Oh and I realized, if I don't feel like cooking, there is always pizza or a "Fend For Yourself" night!

I think most people will relate to your experience. This is what happens when we allow things to build up over time and in almost every case whatever causes us to snap has nothing to do with the root cause. Thanks for the reminder!

What an amazing lesson from a mom! Seriously, I think I so often want to scream when I see the re occurring loading! Week after week...It's always there faithful and overgrowing! The key is to forgive ourselves for our little (or bigger) outbursts and add more love then detergent into every load. ;) Luv ya!

I really like this Michele. I think it is so much more constructive to communicate with our teenagers that way instead of trying to repeat the same old broken record...Make you bed, brush your teeth, brush your hair...I mean repeating these words have not worked so far so what makes me think my method will start working all of a sudden. Still...they are awesome even under the pile of clothes...LOL.

It WAS a good thing... and he's lucky to have you.

I'm always amazed at how wise my kids are considering how young they are, but it's because I made a point of passing on my own self-development to them, even if it didn't sink in at first.

This way, they get on the fast track.
And that can only be good for the world.

Monna and Sharon, I'm so pleased to know you see value in my 'kids on the playground' approach. As Max gets older, I think it helps. Like when he argues with his cousin in NH, when they are 'playing' online with a group of friends.
